All scanning happens locally on your WordPress installation. ## FAQ ### How long does it take to scan my images? It depends on how many posts / pages / etc. are on your site, and how many items per page your media library is set to show. In our testing: A site with **500 posts** can scan 20 media items in **20 minutes**. A site with **100 posts** can scan 20 media items in **2 minutes**. ### My scan keeps getting stuck or timing out. Why? Because it checks so many different use cases for each media item, the plugin can only handle about 30 media items per page. If no scan progress is successfully made in 10 minutes, it will alert you on the media library page to restart the scan, but it will not restart the scan on its own without your input. If you are seeing this alert, try setting your Media Library pagination to a smaller number of items. ### Why don’t I see usage results for videos / PDFs / etc.? Right now, the plugin is only designed to search for image files. We’d like to expand it later to support more file types! ### Why doesn’t it also show that my image is used in my gallery plugin / my Elementor elements / etc.? The plugin currently only checks for the image usage locations and types described above.
