Amendio adds a Change order button to the order confirmation page and to My Account, and lets the customer do it, within a window and a set of permissions you control.

What customers can do:

Change size or option. Swap a line for another variation of the same product. Same price, nothing to pay; dearer, they pay the difference; cheaper, they get it back.

Change quantity. Fewer units refunds the difference as a real WooCommerce refund. More units creates a balance order they pay on your normal checkout.

Add to the order. Another option of something already on the order, shipped in the same box, with a pay link for the balance.

Change the delivery address. Validated against your shipping zones. Optionally allowed after shipping, flagged for you to pass to the carrier.

Cancel, with a reason. The customer says what went wrong before the order is cancelled. The refund goes back the way it came; manual gateways are flagged with the exact amount owed.

What you get: a dashboard of how many tickets the flow deflected, how many orders were cancelled and what the customers gave as the reason, so you can fix what is actually driving cancellations.

Every change is checked against the live order (stock, status, edit window, gateway) so nothing is offered that cannot actually be done, and every change is expressed in WooCommerce's own money model: a paid order's total is never edited, decreases are refunds with line items, increases are balance orders. Your reports, your gateway and your invoices agree.

No limits. Every feature works on every order, forever. There is no order quota, no trial and nothing switched off.

Works with the classic and block checkout, high-performance order storage (HPOS), guest orders, and any payment gateway that supports refunds through WooCommerce.

Runs on your site. Orders never leave your server.

More about the plugin, including screenshots of each flow, at amendio.app.

A separate commercial plugin, Amendio Premium, answers a cancellation with a counter-offer, adds product recommendations to the add-to-order screen, intercepts WooCommerce Subscriptions cancellations, and adds appearance controls. It is not part of this plugin and nothing here depends on it.

Install from the Plugins screen, or upload the folder to
/wp-content/plugins/
.

Activate it. WooCommerce must be active.

Go to WooCommerce > Amend settings, set the edit window and which changes you allow. The button appears on every eligible order page.

Shortcode for custom pages:
[amend_change_order order="123"]

Can customers change an order after it has shipped?

Item and quantity changes close the moment an order is marked shipped or completed, always. Address changes are closed by default too; you can allow them after shipping if your carrier accepts redirects, in which case the change is flagged on the order for you and the customer is told it is a request rather than a promise.

Which payment gateways work?

Any gateway that supports refunds through WooCommerce (Stripe, PayPal, WooPayments, Mollie, Square and most others) refunds automatically. Manual methods such as cash on delivery or bank transfer cannot refund themselves, so the order is flagged with the amount owed and the customer is told to expect a manual refund.

Does it change my order totals or reports?

No. A paid order's total is never edited. Decreases are WooCommerce refunds with line items; increases are balance orders. Stock, tax and sales reports move the way they would if you had made the same change by hand.

Does it work with the block checkout and HPOS?

Yes. The customer panel renders on the classic and block order pages, and orders are read and written through the WooCommerce CRUD API, so high-performance order storage is supported.

Does it work for guest checkout?

Yes. The panel is rendered from a WooCommerce template (
change-order.php
) you can override in your theme, and the flow exposes filters (
amend_rules
,
amend_worth_offering
,
amend_next_steps
, among others) for anything else.

1.1.2

The plugin's row on the Plugins screen now links to the plugin site, the support forum and the review form.

Amend's own admin screens carry those first two links in the footer line.

Once customers have made ten changes without a support ticket, one notice asks for a review.
