Medical Disclaimer

FitCalc is provided for general informational, educational, fitness, and wellness purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency assistance, or a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.

BMI, BMR, TDEE, ideal weight, water intake, habit, challenge, timer, and breathing results are estimates. Actual needs and appropriate activities can vary according to age, pregnancy, medical conditions, medicines, disability, body composition, climate, and other individual factors.

Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing diet, fluid intake, exercise, breathing practice, or health routines, especially if they have a medical condition, are pregnant, take medicines, or experience symptoms. Stop any exercise or breathing session if discomfort, dizziness, pain, or shortness of breath occurs.

FitCalc is not intended for emergencies. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. Use of this plugin and its results is at the user’s own discretion and risk.

External Services

FitCalc Free works without external services. If the site administrator chooses to opt in to Freemius after activation, Freemius may process basic plugin, site, and administrator contact information for licensing, updates, checkout, and product improvement. The opt-in screen explains the data before anything is sent. Calculator values, habit progress, and wellness entries are not sent to Freemius.

FAQ

What is stored when an administrator acknowledges the disclaimer?

FitCalc stores the acknowledgment status, UTC date, plugin version, and WordPress user ID in the site’s own WordPress options table. This record is not transmitted externally. It is an administrative acknowledgment and does not guarantee legal compliance or replace independent legal advice.

Does FitCalc collect health data?

No. Calculator values are processed in the browser. Habit and challenge progress use the visitor’s local browser storage and are not sent to WordPress or a third party.

Does the interval timer continue in a background tab?

Browser timer behavior can vary when a tab is inactive. Keep the page visible during a workout session.

Is guided breathing a medical treatment?

No. It is a general relaxation tool and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Anyone who feels unwell should stop and seek appropriate medical advice.

Can I show only one tool?

Yes. Every calculator and wellness tool has its own shortcode.

Can I change the design?

Yes. Use style=»light», style=»dark», or style=»minimal», plus an optional valid hex color.

What does Upgrade to Pro do?

The optional Upgrade to Pro link opens the official FitCalc product page in a new tab. It does not install software, start a checkout, collect data, or remove any feature from FitCalc Free.
