WordPress analytics that lives in your own database
StatPriv tracks visitors, pageviews, goals, and — when WooCommerce is active — shop performance, storing everything in your own WordPress database. No sending visitor data to a third party, no separate account to create, no tracking code to paste in from somewhere else. Install, activate, and your Command Center dashboard starts filling in.
Ask your data questions in plain English
Most analytics plugins make you learn their dashboard. StatPriv includes a built-in AI Assistant you can just talk to instead — and access to it isn’t locked behind StatPriv PRO. You connect your own API key from Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini (billed to you directly by that provider, not by StatPriv) and it’s ready to use in the free plugin.
- Chat with your data — «How did my traffic change last week?», «What are people searching for on my site?», «Which goals are converting best?» — answered from your real, live StatPriv numbers, never invented or estimated.
- One-click Full Analysis reports — a structured Summary / Key Findings / Recommendations report generated from a complete pull of your site’s data, in seconds.
- Bring your own API key — StatPriv never runs its own AI service and never sees your key or your data in transit; requests go straight from your server to the provider you chose.
- MCP for AI Agents — connect an external AI agent (Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client) directly to your StatPriv data over the Model Context Protocol, authenticated with a standard WordPress application password. Also included, not a StatPriv PRO feature. Read-only, and you control exactly which client is authorized.
- Honest about its limits — if you ask about something your current plan doesn’t unlock (revenue analytics, cohorts, forecasting, and the rest of StatPriv PRO), the Assistant says so plainly and tells you which plan unlocks it, instead of guessing or making up a number.
Command Center
One dashboard for «is everything okay, and what’s happening right now»:
- Site Pulse — visitors, sessions, pageviews, average engagement time, and bounce rate for the last 7 days, site-wide
- Shop Snapshot — revenue, orders, top products, and average order value at a glance (shown automatically when WooCommerce is active)
- Status strip — tracking status, WooCommerce detection, PRO status, and data freshness in one glance
- A jump-off grid linking to every report, including PRO’s, so you always know what’s available
Site Analytics
- Audience — visitors, sessions, returning vs. new, device breakdown
- Content & Pages — top pages and posts by views and engagement
- Traffic Sources — where visitors actually came from
- Search & Site Health — on-site search terms, 404s, Core Web Vitals, and JavaScript error tracking
- Goals — define custom conversion/event goals (clicks, page views, form submissions, downloads, video plays) and track completions over time
Privacy by default
- Consent-aware tracking — nothing is tracked until consent is granted, if you turn that setting on
- Optional IP address anonymization
- Configurable data retention, with an automatic scheduled purge — or keep data forever
- Everything stays in your own WordPress database; nothing is sent to StatPriv or any third party
- Choose to delete every trace of StatPriv’s data on uninstall, or leave it in place — your call, off by default
A guided first run
A short setup wizard runs once after activation to get consent settings, data retention, and (if you use WooCommerce) historical order backfill configured correctly from the start — skip it any time and configure everything later from Settings.
See what PRO looks like before you buy
Every PRO page still shows up in your sidebar even without PRO installed — with the real layout and realistic sample data, dimmed under an «Upgrade to PRO» overlay. You get to see exactly what Shop Performance, Customer Segments, the Geography map, Session Recordings, and every other PRO screen actually looks like before deciding whether to upgrade.
StatPriv PRO
StatPriv PRO (sold separately) builds on top of everything above:
Shop Performance (PRO)
- Revenue & Orders — gross/net revenue, tax, shipping revenue, refund rate, order status funnel, revenue by hour and day
- Cart & Checkout — cart and checkout abandonment
- Coupons & Promotions — redemptions, discount given, revenue influenced
- Payments & Fulfillment — gateway performance, decline rates, shipping method breakdown, refund reasons
Products & Customers (PRO)
- Product Deep Dive — per-product revenue, lifetime value, repeat-purchase rate, and retention impact, with category breakdown
- Customer Segments — high-value, repeat, one-time, at-risk, and inactive customer segments
- Cohorts & Retention — a monthly cohort retention heatmap
- Geography — a world map of revenue by country
- Inventory — restock priority, out-of-stock revenue at risk, low-stock alerts
Growth & Forecasting (PRO)
- Funnel Analytics — step-by-step conversion funnels with drop-off analysis
- Profit Analytics — cost breakdown, profit trends, margin by product
- Predictive & Forecasting — sales forecasting, customer CLV & churn probability, product demand forecasting
Engagement Tools (PRO)
- Real-Time — live visitor count and the pages they’re on right now
- A/B Testing — run experiments against a target conversion event
- Heat Maps — click density on any tracked page
- Session Recordings — masked page-snapshot capture and playback
Reports & Sharing (PRO)
- Export Manager — export any report to CSV or PDF
- Scheduled Email Reports — daily, weekly, or monthly reports delivered automatically
- Scheduled AI Reports — the AI Assistant’s Full Analysis report, generated and delivered automatically on a cadence (the one AI feature that stays PRO — chat and on-demand Full Analysis don’t require PRO)
- Shared Reports — a read-only, expiring link to a single report for a client or stakeholder without a wp-admin login
Tools (PRO)
- Integrations — forward order-completion events to Google Analytics 4 and Meta Conversions API, server-side
- Webhooks — send any tracked event to your own endpoint, CRM, or BI tool
- White Label — replace «StatPriv» with your own brand name and accent color throughout wp-admin
Who is StatPriv for?
- Bloggers & solo site owners — see what’s actually being read without learning a reporting tool built for enterprise marketing teams, and just ask the AI Assistant when you want a quick summary instead of digging through tabs.
- WooCommerce stores — revenue and order tracking are built in from the free tier; when you’re ready for margin, cohorts, and forecasting, PRO is a straight upgrade on the same data, not a separate tool to learn.
- Agencies & freelancers — every client gets clean, understandable reports without fielding «what does this GA4 chart mean» questions, and the PRO teaser pages let you show a prospective client exactly what an upgrade would unlock before they commit.
- Developers — the complete, unminified source ships in the plugin package (see «Where is the source code» in the FAQ), and MCP support means your own AI coding agent can query a site’s real analytics directly while you work.
External services
This plugin connects to a small number of external services, each only under specific conditions and never with your visitors‹ personal data attached:
DB-IP Lite geolocation database — to resolve visitor countries/cities without sending any visitor data anywhere, StatPriv automatically downloads a free, static IP-geolocation database file from download.db-ip.com shortly after activation and refreshes it monthly. This is a one-way file download (no visitor or site data is sent as part of the request); location lookups then happen entirely offline, locally, using that downloaded file. Provided by DB-IP under CC BY 4.0. DB-IP Lite terms
Claude, OpenAI, and/or Gemini (AI Assistant & MCP — opt-in, bring your own key) — if you configure the AI Assistant with your own API key, your chat questions and a Full Analysis request are sent directly from your server to the provider you selected, along with the aggregate analytics figures needed to answer (visitor/traffic/content/search/goals numbers, and — with the relevant StatPriv PRO plan — shop analytics figures). No raw visitor records, customer names, emails, or IP addresses are ever included. This only happens when you’ve configured a provider and actively use the AI Assistant or MCP; it is fully off by default. Anthropic (Claude) Terms · OpenAI Terms · Google (Gemini) Terms
YouTube IFrame API — if a page contains an embedded YouTube video (youtube.com/embed or youtube-nocookie.com/embed), this plugin loads YouTube’s own https://www.youtube.com/iframe_api script so it can listen for that video’s play/pause/progress events and record them as engagement data in your own database. Nothing is sent to YouTube beyond the standard request your visitor’s browser already makes to load that script; no visitor data is sent to StatPriv or any other third party. This only happens on pages that already contain a YouTube embed — if a page has no YouTube video, this script is never loaded. YouTube Terms of Service · Google Privacy Policy

FAQ
-
Do I need a StatPriv account?
-
No. There’s no account to create and nothing to connect. Tracking data is stored in your own WordPress database from the moment you activate the plugin.
-
Where is my data stored?
-
In your own WordPress database, in tables this plugin creates. Nothing is sent to StatPriv or any third-party analytics service.
-
Is the AI Assistant really free, or is that a Pro upsell?
-
It’s genuinely free. Chat and on-demand Full Analysis reports both work in the free plugin with no Pro purchase required — you only need to supply your own API key from Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini. The only AI feature that stays in StatPriv PRO is Scheduled AI Reports (the same Full Analysis report, generated automatically on a recurring schedule and delivered for you).
-
Do I need to pay Claude, OpenAI, or Google to use the AI Assistant?
-
You need your own API key from whichever provider you choose, and that provider bills you directly for usage — StatPriv doesn’t mark it up or add a fee on top. If you’d rather not use the AI features at all, they simply stay off; every other part of the plugin works exactly the same without them.
-
What data does the AI Assistant send to Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini?
-
Only the aggregate numbers the same tool already shows on your own dashboard — visitor counts, traffic sources, page performance, on-site search terms, and goal completions in the free plugin. Nothing per-visitor, no names, no email addresses, no IP addresses. Requests go directly from your server to the provider you chose using your own API key; StatPriv doesn’t run a proxy or see the traffic.
-
Can the free AI Assistant answer questions about my WooCommerce revenue?
-
The free tier’s AI tools cover site traffic, content, search, and goals. Questions about revenue, profit, customer segments, cohorts, or forecasting need StatPriv PRO at the Growth plan or higher. If you ask about one of those without the plan that unlocks it, the Assistant tells you plainly and names the plan you’d need — it never guesses or fabricates a number to answer anyway.
-
What is «MCP for AI Agents»?
-
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor read data from an application directly, instead of you copy-pasting numbers into a chat. StatPriv’s MCP endpoint lets an MCP-compatible agent query your site’s real StatPriv data — read-only, and authenticated with a standard WordPress application password you generate and can revoke at any time. It doesn’t require StatPriv PRO either, with the same plan-based limits on which figures it can return as the in-admin Assistant.
-
Is this GDPR-friendly?
-
StatPriv supports consent-gated tracking (nothing is recorded until consent is granted, if you enable that setting) and optional IP anonymization. Whether that’s sufficient for your specific site depends on your overall setup — this plugin gives you the tools, but compliance is still your call.
-
Does this work with page or object caching?
-
Yes — tracking is a separate request from the cached page itself, so it works alongside standard page-caching plugins.
-
Does this require WooCommerce?
-
No. Core tracking, Site Analytics, Goals, and the AI Assistant all work on any WordPress site. Shop Snapshot and the other shop-specific reports only appear when WooCommerce is active.
-
How does StatPriv resolve visitor countries and cities?
-
Locally, from a small geolocation database (DB-IP Lite, free and open, CC BY 4.0) that StatPriv downloads once automatically and refreshes monthly. Nothing about your visitors is sent anywhere to do this lookup — each visit is matched against the local database already sitting in your uploads folder.
-
What’s the difference between the free plugin and PRO?
-
The free plugin covers whole-site analytics — visitors, pageviews, traffic sources, search, Core Web Vitals, custom goals, basic WooCommerce revenue and order tracking, and the full AI Assistant + MCP. PRO adds the deeper shop-analytics suite (funnels, profit, forecasting, cohorts, segments, geography), engagement tools (real-time, heat maps, session recordings, A/B testing), reporting and sharing (scheduled email and AI reports, exports, client share links), and integrations/white-labeling. Every PRO page is visible even without PRO active, showing the real UI with sample data, so you can see what you’d be getting first.
-
What happens to my data if I uninstall the plugin?
-
By default, nothing is deleted — your tracking data and settings stay in your database in case you reinstall later. If you’d rather have it fully removed, there’s a «delete all data on uninstall» option in Settings you can turn on before uninstalling.
-
Where is the source code, and how do I build it?
-
The complete, human-readable source ships inside this plugin package — nothing is obfuscated:
- Admin app (React) —
assets/js/admin/andassets/js/shared/ - Front-end tracking beacons —
assets/js/tracking.js(loaded as-is, unminified) andassets/js/web-vitals-tracking.js - Styles —
